Our company is a family run business, which started back in 1986 by Chris Warren in the family’s front room. He found that there was a market for his doors in London so Chris found a small unit near the family home, and rented the front part of the unit. Five years on and Chris needed to employing more staff and take over the whole factory unit, to keep up with the demands he had.

A few more years later and Chris found himself having to put an extension on the side of the unit. The Cupboard Door Company went from strength to strength, with his eldest son leaving school and jointing the team, and his father working part time too. In 2000 Chris decided to move to a bigger factory again, which is the factory we are now in! In 2001 Chris’s Daughter jointed the team to by working along side her mother in the office.

Craig decided that the company needed to invest in up-to-the-minute computerized machinery, so that the company could constantly strive to improve and update its range of products to keep ahead of the industry. So in 2002 Chris and Craig went over to Italy to buy a CNC machine, to manufacture a unique traditional looking door that can be painted with the guarantee that these doors will not crack, or shrink after installation, because there are no joints to do so which makes our doors unique, unlike doors that are made from jointed timber.

With the success of the new CNC machine and the demand for our doors we found ourselves having to start a night shift in the Summer of 2004, to keep the production times down to keep there customers happy.
