According to the report, many customers are preferring to use the services of professional kitchen installers, and there is growth in the trade only sector.

Consumers are increasingly savvy about the latest trends in colour, design and choice of materials, with many using the internet to research products before visiting showrooms to gather kitchen ideas in situ. We’ve experienced first hand the benefit of a strong internet presence and have found our customers are using Pinterest and Houzz as go to social media channels for inspiration. Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Google+ are great for linking with customers, as well as for sharing the latest trends, and building relationships with other members of the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industries. Our customers are also finding our website via our paid search advertising, as well as discovering it via organic search rankings. Enquiries from printed advertising are still coming through, proving that any business in the kitchen industry needs an integrated presence to reach the widest range of potential customers.
