Quartz Worktops

With a plethora of attractive products in the marketplace, quartz offers a perfect solution for those of you seeking a practical low maintenance, antimicrobial worktop. Long-lasting and attractive, quartz can be expensive but worth the investment in terms of longevity. Quartz perfectly suits the latest trends in kitchen design, adding a luxury touch to the industrial look, and we could see this rise in popularity for 2017. Quartz is a heavy material not ideally suited to DIY. Many of our kitchen designer and showroom clients offer worktop solutions when they work on bespoke designs for their customers. We’d always recommend using a professional to design your kitchen!

Caraco supplies and installs granite, marble and engineered worktops and the company’s website gives detailed information about the different materials to help you choose what’s right for your kitchen. Caraco offers Quartzlite, which is a new process combining a 12mm slab of engineered stone or 20mm granite bonded onto a lightweight but rigid substrate. This gives the worktops an appearance of being 80mm thick, but without the heavy weight traditionally associated with quartz.
